The Bison Reader/activity sheet was created by Marlene Groves
for the Colorado Foundation for Agriculture. It is used in
cooperation with their 'AG in the classroom'program, where
teachers incorporate it in their bison lesson plans.
Bison producers and bison organizations use the material
to aid in their public education initiatives about bison;
and other entities (such as The Nature Conservancy) have
also chosen to utilize this wonderfully educational brochure.
The Bison Reader is loaded with Historical information,
Native American information, Animal facts, even Indsutry
and Nutritional information. All appreciate the pictures
and drawings; while children really enjoy the crossword
puzzle and word search, making learning fun!
